Senator Adolphus Wabara, the chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), was sacked by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Abia State Chapter for alleged anti-party conduct.
Following the adoption of the report of a disciplinary committee established by the party in the state to look into Wabara’s alleged anti-party behavior, Abraham Amah, the chairman of the Abia State PDP, announced his expulsion on Tuesday in Umuahia.
Before choosing to eject the PDP BoT Chairman, the investigating committee carefully examined Wabara’s prior suspension, according to the Abia State PDP chairman.
He explained that the expulsion was due to Wabara’s backing of Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, for a second term in office, which the PDP regarded an act of treachery to the party.
As a result, the party has encouraged the PDP National body to designate a different candidate for the Chairmanship of the Board of Directors.
Neither Senator Wabara nor his supporters have commented on his expulsion as of the time of this story.
