Jude Okoye, the former manager of the now-disbanded music duo P-Square, has regained his freedom after spending over two months in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

He had been arraigned by the anti-corruption agency alongside his company, Northside Music Limited, facing seven counts linked to alleged money laundering activities.

Paul Okoye, known by fans as Rudeboy and one half of the P-Square duo, took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce his elder brother’s release. Sharing videos of a celebratory homecoming, Paul captioned the post: “Jude is finally out after 2 months + .. all their efforts to frustrate his bail has finally collapsed. Welcome home brother #judeengees. And happy birthday. Welcome back blood.”

Tensions within the Okoye family have been escalating, with Paul publicly accusing his twin and former music partner, Peter Okoye (also known as Mr P), of playing a role in Jude’s legal troubles.

Just last week, Peter testified against Jude at the Federal High Court in Lagos. During his testimony, he alleged that Jude had covertly established a new company under his wife’s name and used it to redirect royalties that should have gone to P-Square.

The case has been adjourned until June 4, when cross-examination is set to continue.
