Multichoice DStv has notified the viewers of their plan to cease the broadcast of Emmanuel TV, a religious TV network.
T.B. Joshua, the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), founded Emmanuel TV.
This arises from a contentious documentary that the British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC, produced criticising the clergyman.
People claiming to be former church members who admit to being molested and tortured by the late prophet are featured in the widely shared DVD.
Multichoice stated in an on-screen announcement that the discontinuation will happen on January 17, 2024.
The message read, “Dear viewer, please note that Emmanuel TV will exit on January 17 2024. Thank you for watching.”
Along with breaking up with MultiChoice, Emmanuel TV will also stop providing service on StarSat and other pay-TV providers.
This event came up as a result of a contentious three-part BBC broadcast that accused the late TB Joshua of sexual offences and atrocities against his followers.
According to ZINGTIE, the BBC conducted interviews with at least thirty purported former SCOAN members and employees as part of an investigation into the late clergyman and his church.
