In a startling admission about Boko Haram funding, former Foreign Affairs Minister Professor Bolaji Akinyemi said that white pilots were involved in the late-night offloading of weapons and cash to the terrorist organization.

In response to claims made by US Congressman Scott Perry, the professor made the statement in an interview on Arise TV News.

Last Thursday, Perry’s allegations were discussed at a hearing of the US Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency.

The misuse of public funds was the main topic of the session, which was themed “The War on Waste: Stamping Out the Scourge of Improper Payments and Fraud.”

Perry claimed during the hearing that terrorist groups including Boko Haram, ISIS, and Al-Qaeda had received close to $697 million in US help.

Professor Akinyemi responded to these accusations by sharing his experiences on the Boko Haram committee, which provided insight into the organization’s activities.

He remembers hearing from residents who said they saw white-piloted helicopters descend at night and unload weapons, cash, and other supplies meant for Boko Haram.

“Villagers kept telling us that in the middle of the night, helicopters piloted by white people kept landing and offloading guns, money, goods, and all kinds of things to Boko Haram,”

“These villagers had no reason to lie about what they saw , and they didn’t know who these white people were. We initially thought it was the French, but now we are hearing from an American Congressman that it was the Amerìcans involved.” Akinyemi said.

Additionally, he mentioned that the Obama administration had declined to sell weapons to Nigeria, citing human rights concerns about the government’s treatment of Boko Haram.

According to Akinyemi, this refusal created a paradox in which the United States was clearly involved in arming Boko Haram, even though official policy prohibited aid to the Nigerian government.
