On Monday, December 16, Bishop David Abioye announced a three-day event in Abuja to provide guests with divine wisdom and guidance, and he urged followers to get mentally and spiritually ready for the new year.

The National Stadium Velodrome in Abuja will host the event from December 27 to 29. It claims to provide attendees with revelations and insights that will help them traverse 2025 successfully.

Bishop Abioye did not attend Shiloh 2024 because he recently retired from Winners Chapel.

Melaye, a former senator from Kogi state, claimed on social media on Sunday, December 15, that he did not go to the well-liked religious gathering “because Shiloh without Bishop Abioye is somehow.”

Regarding Bishop Abioye’s retirement, the former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor of Kogi state also made comments.

“I can’t understand why Bishop Oyedepo, who is older, is not retired, and it is Bishop Abioye who is younger that should be forcefully retired. God did not retire Abioye, only Oyedepo did. Let’s watch..,” he said.

However, the new policy allows the 70-year-old church founder, Bishop Oyedepo, to serve for life.

According to the Mandate, church leaders will only be able to serve one or two seven-year terms, subject to the Board of Trustees’ (BoT) permission.

The cleric referred to the “elder mentor role” as a superior management structural position in a Facebook post.
