Prophet Godwin Ikuru, the founder of the Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry, has reiterated his ambition to succeed Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Lagos State governor in 2027, stating firmly that the state deserves no other individual to inhabit the Round House, Alausa, except him.

Prophet Ikuru voiced his conviction that his in-depth awareness of the state’s complexity, along with his significant grassroots connections with state inhabitants, uniquely suited him to pursue the exalted seat.

Prophet Ikuru, well known for his prophecies and philanthropy, it is on record that he accurately predicted the historic victory of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 elections, and his spiritual insights also supported the elections of several governors such as Niger, Nasarawa, Kogi, Lagos, Imo, Edo, and Delta states.

The prophet stated that his departure from his known terrains of philanthropy and prophecy to run for the high office of Lagos State governor should come as no surprise, given his over 27 years of residence in the nation’s commercial city.

Prophet Ikuru committed to run on a platform of inclusivity, transparency, and development if elected as the state’s next governor.

Prophet Ikuru stated that his humanitarian efforts had garnered him considerable respect because he regularly supported underprivileged communities, empowered youngsters, and championed causes aimed at improving lives throughout the state.

According to the man of God, his accurate predictions and endorsements inspired him to take a more active role in governance, saying that simply foreseeing and supporting the right leaders is insufficient, and that now is the time for him to step forward and offer himself for service as Lagos State governor.

He stated that Lagos State requires a leader with a heart for the people, a vision for progress, and the courage to make difficult decisions, all of which he promised to deliver as governor, noting that his proposed policies would address key challenges such as traffic congestion, housing deficits, youth unemployment, and healthcare.

He also stressed the significance of bridging the gap between the government and the people to foster trust and collaboration.

“It’s not enough to foresee and support the right leaders. Now, I believe it’s time for me to step forward and offer myself for service. Lagos State deserves a leader with a heart for the people, a vision for progress, and the courage to make difficult decisions. By God’s grace, I am ready to take on this responsibility,” he promised.
