Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina, has announced a significant $2 million gift from the 24 Foundation. This generous donation will support the expansion of cancer survivorship and wellness programs at Atrium Health’s Levine Cancer Institute and Levine Children’s.
The gift will enhance the supportive oncology programs, providing personalized resources to patients and their caregivers throughout their cancer journey. Specifically, it will support:
– The cancer resource center
– Psycho-oncology and exercise physiology programs
– Virtual programming
– A new full-time dietitian to develop personalized nutrition plans for oncology patients
– A prehabilitation program to strengthen patients physically and mentally before treatment
– Teambuilding opportunities for pediatric and young adult cancer survivors
Katherine Murphy, executive director of the 24 Foundation, emphasized the organization’s commitment to its partnership with Atrium Health. “We are deeply committed to our partnership with Atrium Health and ensuring that patients in our community have equal access to the highest quality cancer services available.”
Murphy also acknowledged the foundation’s founder, Spencer Lueders, saying, “I know our founder, Spencer Lueders, would agree that from the moment we first learned about the vision for Levine Cancer Institute, we knew 24 Foundation was stepping into something truly extraordinary.
