The afrobeats musician David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has expressed regret that the money he and his spouse, Chioma, received during their nuptials did not match the amount given out.
Due to Nigeria’s Naira mutilation regulations, ZINGTIE stated that on June 25, 2024, dignitaries from all walks of life invaded Davido’s extravagant wedding, with many of them spray-painting dollar bills.
Davido said that the amount of money sprayed at his wedding didn’t match the amount he and his bride took home in a comment under a video showing guests sprinkling his money during the ceremony.
He wrote, “The video of all the money dem spray is and wetin we carry go house no dey tally.” [sic].
