The programme provides students with a scholarship to any accredited nonprofit college or university in the United States, covering the full cost of attendance at programme partner schools and up to $100,000 over four years at other schools. Of the 230 recipients, 156 are from Colorado.
Over its 25-year history, the Daniels Fund has awarded more than $275 million in scholarships to nearly 5,500 students. The organisation is committed to supporting the next generation of leaders and citizens.
“It’s an honour to award 230 four-year college scholarships to young men and women who are excellent students and who demonstrated their ambition to lead successful lives of character and service,” said Hanna Skandera, Daniels Fund president and CEO. “All of us who had the pleasure of interviewing these new Daniels Scholars were inspired by this rising generation of Americans.”
