Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, is a Yoruba Nation activist who has stated that President Bola Tinubu is not to blame for the nation’s current economic problems.
Igboho said this on Friday when speaking to his supporters in Oyo State.
Igboho mentioned how, during the previous President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, he had spoken out about the need for the South-West to liberate themselves, but no one had listened to him.
Since they have driven Fulani herders off their lands and had the chance to pursue farming, he claims, the South-East is not demonstrating or lamenting the present state of the economy.
The activist went on to say that to rid the area of armed Fulani herders, Nigerians in the South-West must band together.
He said, “Many people think Tinubu destroyed the government, but Tinubu didn’t destroy the government. My pain with Yorubas is that while Buhari was in power, I was shouting that we should come together and liberate ourselves from this suffering. Buhari had nothing to offer us.
“My pain is that some Yoruba elders are now are complaining, saying they want to hold protest that they are hungry. Have you seen any Igbo complaining? They have sent all Fulanis out of their lands and they are farming, doing what they want with their lands. Why can’t Yorubas come together and also pursue them from our fatherland, so our parents can go back to their farm lands?”
