The Muslim Ummah, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, and President Bola Tinubu have received congratulations from the North-Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.
Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga, the Forum’s chairman, congratulated APC National Chairman Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in a statement issued in Jos on Friday.
In order to build on the progress made by the Tinubu-led Federal Government, Zazzaga, who is also the creator of the APC Green Cap Movement in Plateau State, asked all Nigerians to support it.
Parts of the statement read, “I heartily congratulate His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang and the National Chairman of our party, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on this auspicious occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.
“May Almighty Allah continue to guide them in their efforts at building a stronger, more united and prosperous Plateau and Nigeria of our collective dreams.”
In addition to using Eid as an opportunity to be nice and supportive to those less fortunate in society, Zazzaga asked Nigerians to keep praying for the country’s peace, unity, and stability.
In addition, he asked Nigerians to pray for Tinubu and Mutfwang to be successful in their positions and to take advantage of the opportunity to treat one another with respect and harmony, regardless of their religious beliefs.
“Once again, I wish all Muslim faithful a joyful and peaceful Sallah celebration. Eid Mubarak,” he added.
Following protests by the Forum after the area was first excluded, Zazzaga thanked the President for creating the North Central Development Commission and commended APC members in the North-Central for their support of the Tinubu administration.
“President Bola Tinubu has demonstrated that he is a leader who has a listening ear. He has been good to the North-Central and that is why, as APC stakeholders, we decided to endorse him for a second term – the first group to do so,” Zazzaga said.
He stated that the Forum is pleased that numerous other organizations have sponsored the President after it first backed Tinubu for a second term.
At the last APC National Summit, held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, he particularly praised the party’s leadership for formally endorsing Tinubu’s reelection.
Zazzaga promised that Tinubu will receive the North-Central’s resounding support.
“We are are restating our pledge to deliver six million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the North-Central geopolitical zone in 2027,” he added.
The Forum also took use of the opportunity to once more call on Mutfwang, the governor of Plateau State, to join the APC prior to the 2027 election.
Since joining the APC will allow him to collaborate closely with the President, Zazzaga believes that this is the best way for Mutfwang to further his political goals.
“Governor Caleb Mutfwang joining the APC is in the interest of Plateau State and the North-Central. It will also strengthen the APC to continue delivering good governance to Nigerians,” Zazzaga said, adding that the Forum is optimistic that the governor will heed the call eventually.
Zazzaga emphasized that the North-Central APC Forum will keep pushing for the advancement and growth of the area as well as of Nigeria overall.
He pointed out that the Forum’s various initiatives were meant to further both good governance and regional interests. Zazzaga expressed satisfaction that the majority of the Forum’s agitations have resulted in positive consequences.
“We will not rest on our oars, we will continue to push for progress and development,” he stressed.
