All accounts with 2500 verified subscriber followers will receive free access to Premium features, according to an announcement made by Elon Musk, the CEO of X (formerly known as Twitter).
The billionaire Elon Musk stated that accounts with more than 5,000 will receive Premium+ for free. Musk bought X in October 2022.
On Thursday, he revealed this in a post on his X handle.
“Going forward, all X accounts with over 2500 verified subscriber followers will get Premium features for free and accounts with over 5000 will get Premium+ for free,” Musk said.
According to ZINGTIE, account owners who subscribe to X Premium have access to a number of advantages, including fewer advertisements and the ability to apply for venue sharing.
While the X Premium+ subscription offers certain extra features, like reply prioritization and the absence of advertisements.
In the midst of an intensifying competition with OpenAI, Musk said on Wednesday that the Grok AI chatbot—which was previously only available to X Premium+ customers—will shortly be available to all Premium users.
To increase the social media behemoth’s revenue, the billionaire has concentrated his efforts on persuading users to pay a small subscription fee.
