Erling Haaland of Manchester City is poised to surpass fellow player Kevin De Bruyne in terms of Premier League salary.
Haaland is reportedly nearing a new deal with the champions, according to Marca.
With an estimated weekly salary of £425,000, De Bruyne is now the highest paid player in the English Premier League.
With his current base pay of £375,000 per week, Haaland already ranks among the highest paid players in the club.
Haaland’s contract, however, is structured with a number of performance-related bonuses that may raise his weekly pay above £85,000.
However, the new contract may earn him €24 million, or £20.5 million or $27 million net, a season.
