The Federal Government has reiterated its dedication to reducing poverty, creating jobs, and reviving the nation’s economy.
According to NAN, this was said by Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite, the minister of trade and investment, when she led a delegation to meet Governor Abba Yusuf on Thursday in Kano.
She declared that boosting the economy and lowering poverty would remain the top priorities for the federal government.
The minister restated President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s commitment to reducing poverty and reviving the economy.
She claims that to revitalize the economy, Tinubu’s administration is deliberately concentrating on the creation of jobs, capital accessibility, economic growth, and the eradication of poverty.
She declared that the federal government would never waver in its resolve to defend the nation’s industries.
According to her, the ministry was making great efforts to ensure that industries were revitalized in order to provide more job possibilities in keeping with the administration’s eight-point program.
She explained that she had come to Kano to evaluate the state of industrialization and collect information on the issues that need immediate attention to spur industrial development again.
According to Uzoka-Anite, the ministry is dedicated to increasing value-added product exports to investigate comparative advantages.
In response, the governor said that his administration was dedicated to promoting small-scale enterprises through the person of his chief of staff, Alhaji Shehu Sagagi.
He referred to the state as sub-Saharan Africa’s commercial hub.
