The federal government has warned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s critics who speak against him and his administration while he works to address the issues facing the nation.

Bello Matawalle, the minister of state for defence, on behalf of the federal government, threatened to retaliate against anyone who made “unwarranted” and “unguarded statements” critical of President Bola Tinubu’s administration on issues like rising food prices and insecurity.

The announcement from the federal government was made the day after a Northern elementary school student criticised the President for being the reason behind the nation’s immense financial suffering.

Mr Matawalle warned Nigerians against making divisive remarks against the administration, pointing out that Tinubu and his staff were trying to lessen the responsibilities of the populace.

He said, “Unguarded utterances coming from some sections of the populace are incisive and destructive and can exacerbate tensions and lead to violence in our beloved nation.”

In response to Metawalle’s remarks, one commenter said: “Please, Mr minister, proffer a solution to the serious hardship Nigerians are facing presently. Our president has never at any time threaten anybody. Don’t spoil his government please.”

Remember how the young primary school student, defending himself during a discussion, criticised President Bola Tinubu, claiming he would be unable to lead the nation after winning the 2023 presidential election?

He claimed that despite his charm, the president has caused immense suffering for the nation.

The young student who rejected the “Voting Should Be Mandatory” motion criticised the Senate’s extravagant spending and way of life.

The energetic small child cried out, “Thunder… where are you, this is the time to strike our leaders,” suggesting that Nigeria’s leaders should be put into one plane and forced to crash-land.

Additionally, he claimed that making voting necessary directly violates people’s right to choose.
