The remains of Muhammed Sagir, age 33, were recovered by Kano State Fire Service personnel from a dry well in Kawon Arewa, which is located in the state’s Nasarawa Local Government Area.

The Kano State Fire Service’s Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, made this announcement to reporters in Kano on Thursday.

The event happened Wednesday afternoon, he added.

According to the statement, “we received a distress call from Sabi’u Muhammed at about 12:42p.m that a body was found inside a dry well at Kawon Alhaji Sani Layin Mai Unguwa.

“On receiving the information, we quickly sent our rescue team to the scene,” he stated.

He claimed that once the victim was removed from the well, his body was given to Alhaji Hamisu, the ward chief of Kawon Arewa.

According to Abdullahi, the incident’s cause is being looked into.
