The Dr. Olaolu Mudasiru Foundation has honored the legacy of its namesake by awarding its first university scholarship to Eniolaoluwa John Sohe, a standout student from the Nigerian Military School, Zaria. This scholarship, presented on the second anniversary of Mudasiru’s death, recognizes Eniolaoluwa’s academic excellence and potential for societal impact.

The foundation, established in March 2024, aims to advance education and social development by creating opportunities in education, entrepreneurship, and the arts. This aligns with Mudasiru’s lifelong commitment to uplifting underserved communities and fostering future Nigerian leaders ¹.

Eniolaoluwa, who has gained admission to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) to study sociology, will receive full tuition payments and a stipend for accommodation and upkeep. This support will significantly impact his academic journey, removing financial barriers and allowing him to focus on his studies.

Ohis Ohiwerei, the foundation’s chairman, emphasized the significance of education, saying, “This scholarship is more than an award. It’s a call to uphold integrity, service, and excellence… Eniolaoluwa, your diligence and determination embody boundless potential, and we are honoured to support your journey.

Rev. Oluwaseyi Sunday Sohe, Eniolaoluwa’s father, expressed gratitude, stating, “This scholarship is more than financial support. It’s a chance to transform Eniolaoluwa’s future and give back to the community.”

The Dr. Olaolu Mudasiru Foundation’s mission extends beyond this single scholarship, aiming to create a ripple effect of opportunity and professional excellence that transforms lives and communities.
