Delta Air Lines and the Delta Air Lines Foundation have announced commitments totalling more than $16.5 million over five years to support organisations in Clayton County, Georgia. The funding will benefit the Metro-Atlanta community near Delta’s headquarters and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

The commitments include $13.5 million from the foundation, with $5 million allocated to Clayton County Public Schools for the Clayton County Delta Junior Achievement Discovery Centre and Student Employment Centre. This funding aims to bolster career pathways and workforce development.
Additionally, $2.5 million will be allocated to Middle Georgia State University School of Aviation for student scholarships. Delta Air Lines has also awarded grants of $1 million each to:
– Clayton County Chamber, in support of workforce development resources
– Aerotropolis, to improve regional economic competitiveness
– Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, to establish a donor-advised fund focused on Clayton County
