Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, stated on Sunday that he was confident his political party would win all elections in 2027.

This was said by the former governor of Rivers State, who has been at odds with his successor, Siminalayi Fubara, during a Thanksgiving ceremony hosted by federal politician Senator Barinada Mpigi in Koroma, the state’s Tai Local Government Area.

Ahead of the upcoming general elections, the FCT Minister asserted that the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) are unified in Rivers State.

He said, “With the forces we have I don’t know of anybody who can challenge us. I can tell you it is like tomorrow is 2027. For me it is still very far, I can’t wait.

“The two leadership of the party, APC is here, PDP is here; where can you find that leadership unity? Which state? It is only in Rivers that you can find that unity.

“And that is what many people don’t like. When they see people united and working together, they find how to make sure they are divided but since we know, we have refused to be divided”.

Recall that Rivers State was reportedly experiencing a political crisis recently due to allegations that Wike was trying to force decisions on the current administration.
