Nigeria’s gas production increased by 2.9% month over month, on a month-to-month basis, from 220,396.45 million standard cubic feet (MSCF) in October 2024 to 226,747.05 MSCF in November 2024.
According to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission’s (NUPRC) most recent gas report, 829,156 MSCF were exported to produce foreign cash for the country, which is a 6.9% increase compared to 775,547 MSCF shipped during the same period in 2023.
The nation’s oil production, including condensate, rose 13.3% year over year (YoY) to 1.7 million barrels per day (bpd) in November 2024 from 1.5 million bpd in the same time in 2023, according to the NUPRC’s report on oil production output.
The non-oil sector continues to dominate the economy from a structural standpoint, accounting for 94.43% of the nation’s GDP in Q3 2024, compared to 5.57% for the oil sector, he stated in his 2025 Outlook.
