During his unveiling on Monday, Super Eagles interim manager Augustine Eguavoen met with new head coach Eric Chelle.
The Nigeria Football Federation, or NFF, revealed Chelle to the media.
The venue for the event was Abuja, Federal Capital Territory’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Stadium.
As soon as the two men entered the room, Chelle embraced Eguavoen.
Before they sat down, the two also had a brief talk with one another.
Following the termination of his contract with Algerian club MC Oran, Chelsea arrived in Nigeria on Sunday.
Eguavoen had been the Super Eagles’ interim head coach, taking over the position for the fourth time in August 2024.
He led Nigeria to earn a spot in the Morocco-hosted 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Eguavoen will continue to concentrate on his duties as the head of the NFF’s Technical Department after Chelle is appointed.
