Hydrogen Payment Services Company Limited (Hydrogen) has taken a significant step towards promoting sustainability and digital skills empowerment in Nigeria. In collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Education, Education District II, Hydrogen has donated a 5KVA solar-powered inverter system to Ikosi Senior High School, Ketu.
This innovative initiative provides a clean, renewable energy source dedicated to ensuring sustainable access to clean water while reducing reliance on non-renewable energy. In addition, Hydrogen has renovated the school’s water outlet area, improving both its aesthetics and hygiene.

Furthermore, Hydrogen has donated textbooks to the school library, ensuring that students have the academic resources needed for a well-rounded education. Beyond these vital infrastructure and educational enhancements, Hydrogen is invested in equipping students with essential digital skills to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
Through expert-led, interactive sessions, students were introduced to key tech-driven career paths, including Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Software Development, Payment Technology, Product Management & Design, Sales & Business Development, Customer Experience, Digital Marketing, and Project Management
Fiyinfoluwa Olorunsola, Head Cards & Switch at Hydrogen, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability and digital education. “At Hydrogen, we believe sustainability is about more than just environmental responsibility, but about investing in people, communities, and the future we are building together,” Olorunsola said.
Olorunsola added, “This initiative is a comprehensive investment in young minds, ensuring they have both the resources and the skills to lead Africa’s digital transformation.”
