The Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center and the surrounding region were chosen by the University of Florida Board of Trustees to serve as the location of the university’s intended graduate center campus in Jacksonville. The Committee on Governance, Government Relations, and Internal Affairs unanimously recommended the site on December 12th, which prompted that action.
Renderings and preliminary site designs of UF buildings north of the Union Terminal Station and west to the Forsyth Street exit of Interstate 95 were presented to the committee.
According to a city of Jacksonville news release, the Florida Semiconductor Institute will be part of the campus when it opens in the fall of 2026.
