A senator and several lawmakers are among the members of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano who have been disciplined for alleged anti-party activities.

Alhaji Hashimu Dungurawa, the state chairman, made this revelation to reporters in Kano on Monday.

Senator Kawu Sumaila of Kano South, Alhaji Abdullahi Sani Rogo of Rogo Federal Constituency, Alhaji Abdullahi Rurum of Rano/Kibiya, and Ali Maadakin Gini of Dala Federal Constituency were among the politicians he named as being impacted.

Dungurawa conveyed the party’s dissatisfaction with the conduct of several members of the National Assembly who were chosen using the NNPP platform.

He pointed out that these lawmakers had reportedly behaved contrary to the party’s interests, values, and principles, even though they had been given complimentary tickets during the party’s primaries.
