Pat Ugwu, a Nollywood actress, passed away at the age of 35.

On Wednesday, actor Emeka Okoye shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram.

Okoye recounted the circumstances of Ugwu’s burial, expressing shock at her abrupt departure.

The actor discussed his concerns, calling the latest wave of losses in the Nigerian film business “unusual.”

“Rest in peace sis. Pat Ugwu. So we no get to work again? Death why? Rest in peace PAT. May your soul rest in the bosom of the Lord.

“God please protect all my colleagues especially those I’m close to. This unusual Death is frightening . I proclaim life to everyone close to me in this 2025 in the precious blood of Jesus. Amen.”
