On Sunday, the Presidency responded to the US District Court of Columbia’s ruling directing the FBI to make President Bola Tinubu’s information public.

According to Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s spokesperson, there is nothing fresh to disclose regarding the subject.

According to Onanuga, the public has been aware of FBI and DEA reports from Agent Moss for over 30 years.

In response to inquiries from reporters, Onanuga stated that the Nigerian leader was not implicated in the reports.

According to ZINGTIE, the order was issued on Tuesday by Judge Beryl Howell.

This came after an American named Aaron Greenspan moved for a reexamination of a previous decision.

According to Howell, it is “neither logical nor plausible” to keep the knowledge private.

Greenspan had charged that the FBI had violated the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) by not disclosing “documents relating to purported federal investigations into” Tinubu and one Abiodun Agbele within the allotted period.

In 1993, Tinubu was accused of forfeiting $460,000 to the US government after investigators connected the money to drug trafficking profits.

Reacting, Onanuga posted on X: “Journalists have sought the Presidency’s reaction to the ruling last Tuesday by a Washington DC judge ordering the US FBI and DEA to release reports connected with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Our response is as follows:

“There is nothing new to be revealed. The report by Agent Moss of the FBI and the DEA report have been in the public space for more than 30 years.

“The reports did not indict the Nigerian leader. The lawyers are examining the ruling.”
