The starting lineup for the Super Eagles’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the South African Bafana Bafana has been announced by head coach Finidi George.

As anticipated, Stanley Nwabali of Chippa United will start in goal ahead of Maduka Okoye and Olorunleke Ojo.

Calvin Bassey and Bright Osayi-Samuel will play left and right back, respectively.

Semi Ajayi of West Bromwich Albion will be paired with Wilfred Ndidi, the team’s captain for the evening, in central defence.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Alex Iwobi, and Frank Onyeka will play in the midfield.

Lanky hitman Paul Onuachu will spearhead the assault, with Ademola Lookman and Kelechi Iheanacho providing backup.
