According to the Ondo State Police Command, eight dry human skulls were purportedly found in the possession of Yusuf Adenoyin, a suspect who was detained by police.
According to a statement released by the command’s spokesperson, SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the incident happened at Isua-Akoko in the state’s Akoko South West Local Government Area.
According to the statement, the suspect was taken into custody while a few command officers working at the Isua-Epinmi checkpoint as part of the Police Safer Highway Patrol were carrying out their assigned tasks.
According to the statement: “While the vehicle was being searched, one of the passengers took to his heels and the police pursued and arrested him. He was searched and eight dry human skulls, fresh human flesh, and charms were found in a wrapped polythene bag concealed in a garri sack he was travelling with. The suspect, Yusuf Adenoyin, 31, stated that he was going to supply the items to herbalists.”
During questioning, the guy allegedly admitted to providing seven human skulls before his detention.
In addition, SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya said that a probe had been started to find his collaborators.
