Real Madrid declared on Tuesday that Fabien Causeur, one of their basketball players, has departed the team after his contract ran out.
In an official statement posted on their website, the Spanish club conveyed their appreciation, admiration, and fondness for Causeur’s dedication and moral leadership over his seven seasons with the team.
During his tenure at Real Madrid, Causeur won 14 trophies, including two European Cups, four League crowns, two Copas del Rey, and six Spanish Super Cups.
With 486 games played for Real Madrid, he is the third foreign player in the team’s history of appearances in the basketball league.
A portion of Real Madrid’s statement said, “Real Madrid wishes him and his family all the best in this new stage of their lives.”
