The Rotary Club of Ikorodu Metropolitan, District 9112, has given delight to inmates of the House of Chloe Orphanage Home in Ikorodu by contributing food items, clothing, household needs, and medical supplies, and free medical treatments.

The club president, Sikiru Olubayo Ojo, spoke during the visit and stated that the purpose of the gesture was to remind the locals that they are not alone during the Yuletide season.

The donated items included a 50-kilogram bag of rice, vegetable oil, cartons of noodles, biscuits, evaporated milk, beverages, and sachet custard, and packs of tissue paper and sanitary towels.

Others are bags of clothes, customised bags, general medical consumables, ongoing free medical services, and a festive lunch and party for the children

Founder of the Orphanage Home, Mrs. Olukemi Olukoya, who received the items, expressed appreciation for the Rotary Club’s consistent support throughout the year. According to her, the donations of food supplies, essential items, and medical consumables, and the ongoing provision of free medical services have significantly impacted the children under their care.

Mrs Olukoya stated that the collaborative efforts of the Rotary Club of Ikorodu Metropolitan and the House of Chloe Orphanage Home are a testament to the power of community involvement.

“This heartwarming celebration truly embodied the spirit of giving and compassion,” she added

“We want the children to feel loved and cared for, especially during this festive period,” Ojo said.
