The women are calling for the quick reinstatement of Siminalayi Fubara, the elected governor of Rivers  State, as well as the restoration of all other democratic bodies.

The demonstrators denounced what they called an unwarranted and intolerable imposition of military  control under the cover of a state of emergency, claiming that it was unlawful.

Respected Nigerians, including former presidents and diplomats, were also urged by the group to step in and pressure President Bola Tinubu to undo what they saw as a serious injustice.

The women pledged to keep up their defense of freedom, justice, and self-determination and reiterated their dedication to nonviolent resistance.
