Transfer: Napoli strip Osimhen of no.9 shirt, give it to Lukaku

According to Corriere Dello Sport, Arsenal is prepared to sabotage Chelsea’s attempt to acquire Victor Osimhen from Napoli.

During the summer, the Gunners were one of the teams interested in the Nigerian striker.

But this year, Mikel Arteta lost interest in Osimhen and instead tried to sign Benjamin Sesko.


Arteta is considering his alternatives in the market after Sesko has decided to remain with RB Leipzig.

Romelu Lukaku would go to Napoli under a loan plus swap deal that Chelsea is now offering, while Osimhen would come to Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal has not yet submitted an offer, but it is now rumoured that they are back in the running.

As an alternative, Arteta would think at Viktor Gyokeres, a striker for Sporting Lisbon. The Swedish forward netted 29 goals and provided 10 assists in 33 league games for the Verde e Brancos.
