Babcock University has once again demonstrated its commitment to academic excellence, with nine of its law graduates earning First Class Honours in the November 2024 Bar Part II Final Examination conducted by the Nigerian Law School. This outstanding achievement highlights the impact of the university’s rigorous academic training, forward-thinking curriculum, and dedicated faculty members.

The university’s School of Law and Security Studies has a track record of remarkable achievements at the Nigerian Law School, spanning over a decade. Previous notable performances include Oladeinbo Gilbert emerging as Best Student in Law in Practice in 2013, Adonu Geoffrey being named Best Overall Male Student and 2nd Best Overall Candidate in 2016, and Abiru Mayowa emerging as the Overall Best Student in 2019.
In recent years, Babcock University has consistently produced high-achieving graduates, with six First Class graduates in 2022 and twenty in 2023. The university’s 2023 performance was its highest ever, with Echebiri Mary-Ann Goodness clinching the 3rd prize in civil litigation and Labisi Oluwatamiloreayo Elizabeth being named the 3rd best student in professional ethics.
Prof. Dorcas Odunaike, Dean of the School of Law and Security Studies, attributed the university’s continued success to its commitment to academic excellence. “These continued successes are a reflection of our commitment to academic excellence and our goal of nurturing legal professionals who will lead with integrity, competence, and courage,” she said.
