Concerns have been expressed by Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, regarding the abrupt departure of notable Nigerian politicians for overseas trips.

In a widely shared video on social media, Fayose attacked the mass resignation of senators, governors, and other powerful politicians.

He asserts that their sudden decision to travel was a direct reaction to the planned protests. “House of Representatives members, senators, governors, and ministers are all traveling abroad suddenly because of the protest,”

In the video, Fayose said the protest, which was planned by angry Nigerian youths and activists, is intended to draw attention to the general discontent with Nigeria’s current system of government.

Fayose’s comments have increased public annoyance because many Nigerians believe the politicians are trying to avoid responsibility for their conduct.

There have apparently been more people at the airport, creating a chaotic scene as officials rush to leave the nation. Tensions are rising as the protest date draws near, and the government is under increasing pressure to answer the complaints of its people.

The political elite’s response, as Fayose pointed out, has only served to draw attention to the nation’s leaders and their dedication to finding solutions to Nigeria’s urgent problems.
