Gilad Erdan, Israel’s Permanent Representative to the UN, testified to the UN Security Council last week about the 200 Christians he claimed were slaughtered on Christmas Eve by Nigerian Muslims.

Speaking at the January 12 UN Security Council meeting, Gilad brought up the topic of the killings in Jos, Plateau State, stating that the deaths in Nigeria had to take precedence.

He also urged the UN to pay attention to other global crises, such as the murder of Christians by Muslims in Nigeria, in addition to the Israel-Hamas battle.

In a video showing him speaking at the UN meeting, which he shared on X via @giladerdan1 on Saturday, Gilad said, “On Christmas (eve), 200 Nigerian Christians were murdered by Muslims (in Plateau)” and “over the past decade, 50,000 Christians in Nigeria” have been killed. “Is this even a concern of the council?” “Again, no Jews, no news,” he inquired.
