In a follow-up live video, Mrs. Peace Livinus, who previously vented on Facebook about her husband physically abusing her for wearing a singlet to their child’s school, has defended him.
She detailed her experience and alleged injuries caused by her husband in the first post, which caused a great deal of concern and prompted calls for action from advocacy organisations and social media users.
But in her most recent video, Mrs. Livinus read a letter pleading with the public to avoid their marriage and clearing her husband of any wrongdoing.
She further disclosed that her condition has greatly improved after her husband brought her to a hospital in Warri for treatment.
Assuring viewers that she was back in her matrimonial home, being well-cared for, and at peace.
She then urged government agencies, bloggers, and social media users to refrain from “harming or stressing” her spouse as a result of the incident.
“Going against my husband’s orders was what led to my husband’s actions. He has never done a thing to me like this since we got married. After the incident, he has taken me to the hospital in Warri for treatment.
“My sight is perfectly in order and better than yesterday when I posted the video. I want to inform the public that I am at my matrimonial home in peace and well taken care of.
“Finally, I thank everyone who showed concern for my well-being. I must testify that I do not regret marrying my husband; Mr Livinus never wanted to harm and I don’t want any harm to happen to him because of these issues.
“I, Mrs Peace Livinus order that no one, organisations or bloggers should harm or stress my husband on this issue.”
Wait till you hear what that man wrote for her to read. pic.twitter.com/mvV5FeMpJ9
