Despite the controversy surrounding their invitation, well-known Fujian singer Alabi Pasuma and infamous street-hop artist Portable performed at a heavenly church in Lagos.

According to Zingtie, the two singers’ invitation had previously sparked debates on social media when the Lagos-based church announced them as special guests for their worship night.

Olatosho Oshoffa, the pastor of the Celestial Church, also denounced the development and declared that he had prevented the singers from singing on the praise night.

Aderemi Dabiri, the senior pastor of the church, responded to the criticism by saying he invited the secular musicians to win people over to Christ.

On Friday, though, a video of the two artists singing at the praise night went viral online among the criticism.

Portable dressed according to the church’s dress code by wearing a white outfit, while Pasuma wore a casual shirt and trousers.

Congregants joyfully joined in as he performed his hit song, “Zazuu,” with emotion, igniting a sense of excitement and communal celebration within the church.
