Omoyele Sowore, a former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has urged for the prosecution of Ibrahim Babangida (IBB), Olusegun Obasanjo, Abdusalami Abubakar, and David Mark, saying they should all be imprisoned.

Sowore’s comments came after IBB revealed that Moshood Abiola won the 1993 presidential election, which was subsequently annulled by the military administration. According to Sowore, the IBB’s acknowledgment concerning Abiola’s victory is sufficient grounds for these significant political actors to face legal action.

On his social media site, Sowore chastised IBB, Obasanjo, Abubakar, and Mark, claiming that their acts in the nullified June 12 election justified their imprisonment. Sowore had previously questioned IBB’s impending autobiography launch, alleging that IBB will erroneously blame the annulment on late General Sani Abacha, another former dictator.
