The wife of former Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Hakeem Odumosu was taken from her home in the Arepo neighbourhood of Ogun State by four hooded men who are thought to be kidnappers.

The incident happened on Thursday at approximately 9:55 p.m.

ZINGTIE deduced that the masked men had attacked and dragged the woman from her Lexus jeep just as she was ready to enter her house.

Police spokeswoman Omolola Odutola confirmed the incident to ZINGTIE, stating that Mrs. Odumosu was transported to an unidentified location through swampy terrain.

According to Odutola, the Warewa Division’s Divisional Police Officer led a team of officers to the scene after receiving the information, and a search is still going on.

She said, “Approximately 9:55 pm, information was received regarding the kidnapping of Mrs Odumosu, a female resident of Aminu Street, Orange Estate, Arepo, Ogun State.

“Reports indicate that she was about to enter her home when four masked men attacked her, dragged her from her Lexus jeep and took her through the swampy areas to an unknown location.”

She mentioned that the DPO also got in touch with the Baale of Warewa and Maaba to deploy local security forces to the riverine area.
