As Iran launched a flurry of missiles and drones towards Israel on Sunday morning, April 14, Simon Ekpa, the self-proclaimed prime minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile, responded to mockeries from Nigerians after stating he will support Israel with 15,000 foot soldiers.

On social media, several Nigerians urged Ekpa to quit making jokes. Others said that if he was sincere about his pledge to “help Israel,” he had to return home and assist his countrymen.

Ekpa responded on Twitter on Monday, April 15, stating that he was preparing soldiers during the election.

Ekpa wrote on his Twitter handle: “While you were on social media shouting LP LP, we were busy training soldiers for the defence of Biafra. Nigeria terrorists @HQNigerianArmy tried in Imo State with 35 armoured tanks, fighter jets, over 50 Hilux and go to Lagbaja and Musa to verify the end result. They dance in the market, share flyers on the street of Biafra, they fall like chickens in Biafraland, they will not tell you story, but they are quick to tell you about Okuoma story because it has nothing to do with Biafra. They will start to cry again very soon.”
