18 year old Israeli hostage reveals what Hamas captor did to her

On Thursday, April 25, an 18-year-old Israeli prisoner whom Hamas had detained for almost 50 days disclosed that one of the Palestinian terrorist group’s captives had made a marriage proposal to her.

When Hamas launched its unprecedented attacks on Israel on October 7, Noga Weiss was kidnapped from her home in Kibbutz Be’eri. In exchange for a ceasefire last year, she was freed.

Recalling the event, Noga stated that the kidnapper desired to wed her and have his children.

“He gave me a ring on day 14 [in captivity], and I stayed with him until day 50,” The Times of Israel quoted Noga as saying.

“He told me, ‘Everyone will be released, but you will stay here with me and have my children,’” she recalled.

“I pretended to laugh so he wouldn’t shoot me in the head,” she further added.

The plan was rejected by Noga’s mother, Shiri, who the group kidnapped on October 7, and she raged at the captor until he understood.

Noga was at home in Kibbutz Be’eri with her parents when thousands of people were taken captive by Hamas militants who burst into Israel.

Around 7:15 a.m., her 56-year-old father, Ilan, departed the home to join the kibbutz emergency squad. But he vanished from sight and was subsequently declared deceased.

“They started shooting at the door, something like 40 shots until they managed to get in. We saw the conversations on WhatsApp and understood what was happening. People were writing that their house was on fire and then stopped answering,” Noga said.

Shiri gave Noga the order to hide beneath the bed in the hopes that the terrorists would shoot the mother instead of the 18-year-old if they burst into the room.

“I went under the bed, and they came in and took her. After they took her outside, I heard gunshots. I thought she was murdered and not kidnapped,” Noga said.

However, Noga and her mother were reunited a few days later.

In the meantime, a joint statement was issued by the US and 17 other nations urging Hamas to free all of the captives to put an end to the ongoing hostilities in the Gaza Strip.

“We call for the immediate release of all hostages held by Hamas in Gaza now for over 200 days,” a statement by the countries said, in what a senior US official called an extraordinary display of unanimity.

“The fate of the hostages and the civilian population in Gaza who are protected under international law is of international concern,” the statement added.
