Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle is set to arrive in Cairo, Egypt, to show his support for the Flying Eagles as they compete in the ongoing 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
According to the team’s media representative, Shariff Abdallah, Chelle is scheduled to join the squad at their base, the Radisson Blu Hotel, on Monday.
During his visit, Chelle is also expected to assess the players as he prepares to finalize his squad for the upcoming Unity Cup invitational tournament in London.
So far, the Flying Eagles have recorded a win and a draw in their first two matches at the U-20 AFCON finals.
Led by Aliyu Zubairu, the team will face Kenya’s Rising Stars in their last group stage match on Wednesday at the June 30 Stadium in Cairo.
A draw in that fixture would be sufficient for the seven-time champions to advance to the quarter-finals.
