Nigeria’s Samson Adamu is now the Acting General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Adamu takes the place of Veron Mosengo-Omba from DR Congo.

Mosengo-Omba recently resigned from his position in order to run for President of the Football Federation of DR Congo, FECOFA.

Currently, Adamu serves as the Director of Competitions for CAF.

Within CAF, the football administrator commands great respect.

He is the offspring of Dr. Amos Adamu, a former member of the FIFA Executive Committee who was banned from football due to a corruption scandal in 2010.
