APC NEC finally reveals which zone to produce the national chairman

The All Progressives Congress’s National Executive Committee, NEC, has approved the party’s zoning of chairmanship to the northwest.

This was revealed by Felix Morka, the party’s national publicity secretary, during a press briefing on Wednesday following the conclusion of the NEC meeting.

Morka said: “The NEc has ratified the zoning of national chairmanship position to the North West.”

According to ZINGTIE, the role was originally assigned to the North Central, which allowed Senator Abdulahi Adamu to become the party’s chairman.

However, Adamu and Senator Iyiola Omisore, the party’s previous national secretary, resigned due to internal party strife.

Following their forced resignations, Senator Ajibola Basiru was appointed Secretary and Dr. Abdulahi Adamu, the former governor of Kano State, was elected Chairman.

Morka also disclosed that the NEC established a seven-member committee, which would be led by Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, and tasked with recruiting new members for the party’s NEC.
