David Mark, the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has reiterated the party’s position on the upcoming general election in 2027, promising that it will oppose politics without accountability, special privileges, and imposition.
Mark made this pledge on Tuesday during the ADC National Youth Wing’s 2025 International Youth Day event in Abuja.
The former Senate President revealed that the ADC would serve as a people-centered, moral option for Nigeria’s disenchanted young and progressives, represented by Salihu Lukman, a former APC National Vice Chairman (North-West).
According to ZINGTIE, the gathering, which had as its topic “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond,” brought together activists for progressive change, young leaders, and political personalities.
The former military administrator of Niger State said that the ADC’s new chapter would be based on bravery, solidarity, and national service.
“Under my leadership, ADC will be committed to genuine democratic values, rejecting imposition, special privileges, and politics without accountability. Internal democracy, transparency, and fairness will remain our guiding principles,” he said.
