2027: ADC will send Tinubu back to Bourdillon — Kenneth Okonkwo

Veteran Nollywood actor and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has voiced strong confidence that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will emerge victorious in the 2027 presidential election.

During an appearance on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television programme aired on Monday, Okonkwo declared that the opposition party is not only prepared to contest but is also set to unseat President Bola Tinubu and “send him back to Bourdillon.”

”In 2027, we stand a chance in every election in Nigeria, but I wouldn’t say the same thing for any election for which the primaries have been conducted before the coming into existence of David Mark leadership, because they were not part of the people that decided.

‎‎”That is why I’m saying the true test of ADC will be in 2027. We are going to form the next government in Nigeria and send Tinubu to Bourdillon,” the lawyer said.

Commenting on the party’s reach, Okonkwo emphasized that the ADC has a presence in all 36 states of the federation. In Rivers State, he noted that former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, is a significant figure within the party and qualifies to be regarded as its state leader.

“The ADC exists in the 36 states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Rotimi Amaechi naturally is one of the prominent leaders of ADC in Rivers state and in the South-South. So, it will not be out of place if you say that he is the leader of the ADC in Rivers State,” he added.
