Umo Eno, the governor of the state of Akwa Ibom, has maintained that he has no regrets in endorsing President Bola Tinubu for a second term.

Eno made this statement on Friday when he announced that he has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The State House in the state capital of Uyo hosted the ceremony.

Eno claims that since Tinubu was the governor of Lagos State, he has always admired him.

“As a young professional working in Lagos while he was the governor, I have always admired his style of leadership with focus and vision.

“I have no doubt this vigour and renewed energy is being applied to the nation today.

“I have no apology whatsoever for supporting President Tinubu for a second term in office, to complete the reforms he has started.,” he said.
