Zainab Galadima, daughter of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) figure Buba Galadima, has expressed doubt over President Bola Tinubu’s support in the North ahead of the 2027 presidential election, predicting he may secure no more than 30 percent of votes from the region.

During an appearance on the Mic On podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye, Zainab cautioned that the upcoming election could pose the most significant political challenge Tinubu has ever faced.

She said: “It’s really bad, Tinubu may get maybe 30 percent or less, it’s going to be worse than the 2023 election.”

When asked about Tinubu’s chances in the next presidential race, Zainab added: “It’s going to be the toughest battle that he will ever see.

“It’s going to be the toughest because this coalition, as much as I don’t understand what they are doing, but anybody that sees them knows that we need to sit up.”

The coalition she referred to composed of influential figures across the country is reportedly working with the aim of unseating Tinubu in the next general election.

Recently, the group aligned with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), appointing key leadership positions as part of efforts to challenge the current administration in 2027.
