Even though he names his son Seyi as the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, former Sports Minister Solomon Dalung has stated that President Bola Tinubu will not be re-elected in the general elections of 2027.

This was said by Dalung on Friday night on News Central.

He asserts that Tinubu’s administration and Nigerians will fight each other in the upcoming elections.

Dalung said: “Like I promised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, even if the 36 state governors of Nigeria defect to the APC and he appoints Seyi Tinubu as the chairman of INEC and maybe appoints his wife as the Chief Justice of Nigeria, they will be defeated in 2027.

“Because it is we against them. Nigerians should buckle for 2027, because the battle line has been drawn by the government of President Tinubu, which has declared war against the Nigerian people.

“The government has weaponized poverty, hunger and hardship.

“The only option we have now is to align with the coalition movement to reposition ourselves and confront the government in 2027.”
