After months of eager anticipation, the stage is finally set as De9jaspirit Talent Hunt (DTH) prepares to launch the most anticipated talent competition on the continent. Following the successful completion of its first-ever university campus tour, DTH is now ready to kick off Season 4 a season brimming with remarkable prizes for both participants and viewers.
The show brings together a wide variety of creative talents from singing and dance to comedy, poetry, magic, mime, spoken word, contortion, and dramatic performances.
With a proven history of discovering and showcasing raw African talent, DTH has continuously elevated homegrown artistry to a global stage.
Season 1 marked the beginning of this journey, quickly establishing DTH as the continent’s premier talent competition. The debut season ran for seven days and concluded with singer Miss Constance Olatunde (Konstance) winning the top prize of ₦10 million. She later made her name in the Afrobeats and R&B genres. The Chrysolite Dance Crew and comedian Ikebudu Emmanuel finished as first and second runners-up, winning ₦3 million and ₦2 million respectively.
Season 2 expanded the stakes, offering not only ₦7 million to the winner but also an all-expenses-paid trip to Dubai and Kenya. Gospel singer Esther Ugochi Kalu (Ugee Royalty) emerged victorious and released her own single shortly after. Spoken word artist Ibquake and comedian Masterseb also walked away with ₦3 million and ₦2 million respectively.
By the time Season 3 rolled around, DTH had firmly established itself as a continental phenomenon. That season’s champions, Exoduz Dance Crew, took home ₦10 million, a brand-new vehicle, and an all-expenses-paid vacation to both Kenya and the Maldives. One of the season’s standout moments came from 6-year-old Chikambo Obioma, whose performance captivated audiences far beyond Africa. Vocalists Mollythevibe and Promise Effiong claimed the second and third spots, receiving ₦3 million and ₦2 million respectively.
In a bold move for Season 4, DTH broke new ground by launching its inaugural Campus Tour from July 9 to July 18, 2025. This tour visited several Nigerian universities — including the University of Port Harcourt, University of Benin, University of Abuja, University of Lagos, and IMT Enugu — to seek out rising stars directly from student populations.
In a departure from past seasons, this year’s registration process removed entry fees entirely. Instead, aspiring contestants posted one-minute performance clips on social media, tagging the DTH page. Selected individuals were then invited to perform live at their campuses. This inclusive strategy removed barriers like age and cost, opening the doors for even more talent from all walks of life.
From this nationwide search, 22 of Nigeria’s most outstanding and diverse performers were chosen for the Season 4 competition.
This year’s lineup spans a range of talents. Gospel vocalist Chris Vic will face off against fellow singers like Glory Henry, T-Jay (Tuoyo John), BigSøma (Anih Favour Nmeasoma), Blessed Ikpi (Ekubi Blessed Ikpi), Paskal (Chukwu Paschal Ebube), Lexi (Favour Aguiyi), and Hailwin (Helen Godwin).
In the realm of spoken word, talents such as The Global Poet (Deborah Johnson), Isime Precious (Aigbogun Precious Isimeme), Neji Irregular (John Momnang Neji), and Loveth Liberty are set to deliver stirring performances.
Comedy fans will enjoy the presence of Da Messenger (Emmanuel God’srich Chinaza) and MC Olaks (Olarotimi Victor), while Phoenix the Magician (Edidiong Sunday Ibitt) is expected to mesmerize viewers with his magical acts.
On the dance front, powerhouse crews like Kidsteppers, Team Unbeatables, The Elite Kings Dance Crew International, KSS Dance Crew, and Cloud 9 Dancers are ready to bring high-energy performances to the stage.
This season also features unique talents like Body Engine (Fidel Walter), a master contortionist, and Jeremiah Fjsax (Jeremiah Oluwajenyo), a saxophonist known for his soulful sound.
Together, these 22 finalists reflect the core spirit of DTH: diverse, raw, and truly world-class talent.
For Season 4, the grand prize has been increased to ₦30 million for the winner. The first runner-up will earn ₦7 million, while the second runner-up will walk away with ₦3 million. In addition, the contestant delivering the best performance each week will win ₦500,000 — making the competition as rewarding as it is intense.
An elite panel of judges has been assembled to evaluate and mentor contestants throughout the season. It includes BB Naija star and dancer Liquorose, celebrated rapper and songwriter Vector, Nollywood actress Ini Edo, and actor/TV personality IK Ogbonna. Hosting duties will be handled by ‘The Captain’ VJ Adams.
Season 4 will run from September 7 through November 9, 2025. Weekly episodes will air on Soundcity TV (DSTV Channel 327 and GOTV Channel 21) every Tuesday at 8 PM, and on Africa Magic Family (DSTV Channel 21 and GOTV Channel 7) every Saturday at 6 PM. Additionally, live shows will be streamed on the DTH App every Sunday from 7 PM. Viewers subscribed to either the ₦5,000 or ₦10,000 plans can vote, stream, and engage in games for a chance to win exciting prizes.
Over 10 action-packed weeks, the 22 contestants will be mentored, pushed to their limits, and transformed as they battle for the crown. Audiences can expect an unforgettable ride filled with laughter, passion, drama, and top-tier entertainment as DTH raises the bar yet again for talent shows across Africa.
